And into the Spring

Almost six months into the mission!  We continue to visit, teach, drive and drive and drive.  We recently attended seven zone conferences in two weeks throughout the mission.  The weather has been beautiful but the thermometer and the humidity are starting to rise.

Although it never really looked like winter, it seems that things can get greener and we can get a new burst of color which is happening all around us.  Bright colors!

We are blessed to visit with many folks.  Above, we hold twins from a young girl we have been visiting.  Left we are invited periodically for dinner with the Sims who are so kind to missionaries.  Below was a birthday party we were able to drop in on.  I kind of split my time with Molly and the Elders.

Of course, missionaries meet together oft.  Lots of meetings and reunions.  To the right, we visit with the area medical missionary, Dr. Bean and a couple of elders that enjoyed a free meal.  Below a district meeting with the zone leaders.  Great group.

We continue to find interesting cuisine which the elders are happy to pose with.  The elders can't go into the water but, if a lake is on our visiting path, they can get close for a few minutes.  And when we travel to other areas, we are fortunate to see those who served with us earlier.

Some miscellaneous shots.  Doll the Australian Shepherd is a regular visitor because she gets all the treats she wants.  Ants are a big deal down here.  Big hills are everywhere.  However the picture below is something I have not identified yet.  These balls of dirt are built up around a single hole in the ground.  I have been reluctant to stick my finger in it.

Molly had the misfortune of breaking her big toe a couple of weeks ago.  She then proceeded to break her little toe on the other foot the next week.  She was still there engaged in zone meetings though!
Easter activities at the church.  Molly holding a newborn goat.  Tomato plants that go on forever in a nearby plot.

And it wouldn't be complete if I didn't get to slurp down some oysters with friends from the Marianna ward.

One of the highlights so far is our trip to the Orlando Temple.  We were fortunate enough to teach Phyllis the Temple Prep lessons and accompany her and her mother as she was endowed and sealed to her parents.

We have also been fortunate enough to have children visit.  Of course, they want to visit the beach so we find ourselves there from time to time.  So good to see them and happy we are in a place that they want to visit!
